FAQs
Insurance and Billing
Is Norava health insurance?
No. Your tier fee covers Non-Covered Services, meaning wellness consultations, biomarker analysis, and health optimization work that Medicare and most insurance plans do not cover. If your physician identifies a condition requiring covered care, that is billed to your plan separately.
Will my insurance be billed?
Not for Non-Covered Services. If your physician determines that a service meets coverage requirements (diagnosis, treatment, or management of a specific condition), that service is billed to your plan as a separate encounter. Outside services (labs, imaging, specialists from unaffiliated providers) may also be billed to your insurance.
I have Medicare. How does this work?
Non-Covered Services through your tier are direct-pay because they fall outside Medicare's coverage categories. If your physician identifies a condition requiring covered care, that service is billed to Medicare as a separate encounter, as required by law. Your Medicare benefits are not affected. Contact your Medicare plan or call 1-800-MEDICARE with questions.
What if my doctor finds a medical problem?
Your physician treats it. If the finding requires diagnosis, prescribing, or management that constitutes a Covered Service, it is documented as a separate encounter and billed to your plan. Your tier fee covers the Non-Covered wellness and optimization work. The two are never bundled.
Who is my doctor?
Licensed physicians at ContinuEM and New Cadence Healthcare. The same physician handles both Non-Covered and Covered Services; the billing pathway changes, not the physician.
Is AI making my health decisions?
No. Technology tools support your physician's analysis. Your physician exercises independent clinical judgment.
Can I still use my insurance and see other doctors?
Yes. Norava does not restrict your right to see any provider or use your insurance for any covered service.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Your tier fee for Non-Covered Services may qualify under IRC Section 213(d). Consult your tax advisor.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time. See your subscription agreement for refund terms.
Membership and Pricing
What is Norava?
Norava is a membership that pairs comprehensive bloodwork with your doctor's report, technology assisted, and a real physician who acts on it. Instead of a screen full of numbers, you get a plan and a doctor who knows your history.
What are the membership tiers?
Essential is $39 a month, Optimize is $89 a month, and Intervention is $139 a month. Every plan includes your bloodwork, your doctor's report, technology assisted, and access to the Norava network. Start where you are and move up when you are ready. View Norava membership pricing and plans.
Your Bloodwork and Results
How do I get my bloodwork done?
You choose how your sample is collected: at home with a kit we mail to you, or at a partnered Quest lab near you, whichever is easier.
How long until I get my results?
After the lab processes your sample, a physician reviews your results. You will usually have your plain-language report and your plan within a few business days.
Who reads my results?
Your results are analyzed with technology-assisted tools, then reviewed and signed off by a physician on our team. The tools help your physician work faster and catch more. They never replace the doctor, and they do not diagnose you.
Care and Access
What visits are included?
Optimize includes two virtual consultations a year. Intervention includes quarterly physician consultations, virtual or in person. Members also get member pricing at partner urgent care and imaging, subject to availability.
Is Norava virtual or in person?
Both. Your consultations are virtual, and in-person care, urgent care, and imaging are available to members in Long Beach and surrounding areas through our partner clinics.
Prescriptions
Do you offer GLP-1 or weight-management medications?
Intervention members have access to optimization protocols, including GLP-1 and peptide therapies, with transparent medication pricing. A medical evaluation and a consultation with a Norava physician are required before anything is prescribed. Individual results vary.
Privacy
Is my information private?
Yes. Your health information is maintained by your clinical provider, ContinuEM or New Cadence Healthcare, and is kept private and secure. Norava will not sell your information or use it for marketing without your authorization. Read our Privacy Policy.

" It's the first time I've felt like medicine was working for me instead of trying to catch me. The AI flagged something my last physical missed, my doctor called the next day, and I had a plan by the end of the week. "
